A weekend with HolidayCottages.co.uk in Devon 1

In October I was the guest of HolidayCottages.co.uk at Lympscott Barn in Devon along with several other bloggers. It’s a gorgeous converted barn building on a real working farm, in the middle of nowhere. One of the first things I noticed was a family of Buzzards, how I wish I could have captured a photograph of them. To me that’s a sign of proper countryside, the wildlife. This area certainly wasn’t short of animals, flowers and character. This was a truly massive cottage, sleeping 14 comfortably. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all merged in a huge downstairs room just to the left of the entrance hall. To the right was the downstairs bedroom where Annie and Tanya stayed and this room was more disability friendly was its bathroom is really a wet room and it has a private patio. Robot Wars Live is in Gloucester this weekend 17

Do you remember Robot Wars? Yeah, me too and I flipping loved it. Did you know they still have a live version of Robot Wars even though the TV show finished years back? No? Well I did, I went to the 2013 finals and had a right giggle, I might have been shouting louder than my kids. House robots like Sargent Bash and Matilda ripping apart roboteers pet robots was amazing tv, and I for one am very pleased it’s continued in its current format rather than nothing at all. These aren’t Teksta puppies or Robofish, they are big and often brutal machines made as a labour of love some of them being “cheap” at about £100 to make whilst others cost up to about £4000 to make.
