The lovely folks at B-Sensible have sent me another product to try out, and one for a Julie’s Notebook reader too. So read what we think, then try and win your own.

These are sold singley rather than in pairs, which could be great for childrens beds. Whilst I wouldn’t think of packing a pillow case for travelling, it is a good idea. In hotels it often crosses my mind “I wonder when this was last washed, if ever?” The problem is I often end up sleeping face down, and  accidentally sniffing where a total stranger has had their head isn’t a nice thing.

B-Sensible bedding creates a barrier that prevents dust mites, so I would feel better about sleeping on pillows that are not mine. As I’m sure we all know it’s been really hot recently, and I’ve been using the B-Sensible king size sheet I reviewed a while back, and the pillow case I received recently. It certainly has been a test for the “Thermo-regulatory” properties of the bedding range.

Whilst Blokey has been fidgety, sweaty and hot, I’ve been warm and comfortable. I am rather pleased with this case. The only thing I  am not so keen on is I have sensitive ears, and if I rest my head with my ear flat against the pillow my own pulse is really loud, it echoes off the B-sensible case somehow. But I am now used to this, so not a problem anymore.

I’m aware my photography skills are not the best, but the pillow case is a plain white, no patterns at all. The fabric looks a bit like knitted cotton (Think t-shirt jersey) and the reverse side of the case that touches your pillow looks a bit like its cling film lined. This is the same as the other B-Sensible sheets we have tried. Along the opening the case has a fine toothed zip, rather than the tuck in flaps that most cases have, I’m happy to say the zip puller is small enough that it’s never bothered me whilst asleep, and not even snagged against my long hair.

All in all I’m happy with this, and would rate at 9 out of 10, the lost mark being the echoing effect mentioned above. Almost perfect, and Brilliant if you want to pop it in your suitcase or travel bag. Consider this, you are going to visit your great Auntie Mabel, and she only uses feathered pillows, and you don’t like the smell of feathers this is a simple way to hide those feathers! Or stopping over at a friends house, but sleeping in their teenagers room for the night? I’d definitely take this case, much better than dowsing the bed in “fabric fresher spray” which could well offend your host.
