Underage drinking 3

There has been a shift in attitude towards responsible drinking among the younger generation in recent years. One in seven parents wrongly assumes that underage drinking is increasing New data commissioned for AB InBev UK’s Be(er) Responsible Day- a celebration to promote the importance of responsible drinking- has discovered that many parents are still over-estimating the number of young people who have tried alcohol at some point in their lives. This is happening even though official data shows that the occurrence of underage drinking is decreasing.

Hotel Chocolat Sleekster Christmas Collection

Last night I had to test out Hotel Chocolat’s Sleekster collection. It was a hard job, forcing myself to eat yummy chocolate. I was so distressed that I had eat some of these. 😉 Ok it wasn’t a hard job. Hehehe. It was flipping lovely. Things I loved included great details in the decoration of each chocolate, the grown-up-ness of it, the taste and that Hotel Chocolat are cocoa growers AND chocolatiers. The chocolate itself is rich and tasty – far from average.

Shloer Crafternoon Tea and WIN (ended) a Bottle 30

Recently I attended Shloer’s brilliant blogger event “crafternoon tea”. It was cakes and posh sandwiches, coffee and crafting with a whole lot of Shloer. Fabulous idea! A lovely dinning room in a posh hotel, and the Makery were teaching us how to make homemade hearts as Christmas tree decorations from ribbons and small bits of fabrics, and buttons and things. I made 2 hearts when I was with Shloer, and now I’m tempted to upcycle old clothing into gifts. Who wouldn’t want a homemade tree decoration made with love by a friend or relative? If only I had a sewing machine, I’d be dangerous!

Even Rum and Raisin ice cream makes me ill

According to Australian doctors at Sydney city hospital I am allergic to alcohol. I agree with them, but can often eat things cooked with it, like fruit cakes with brandy soaked fruit, or spagetti bol made with a little red wine. I think its due to the cooking and evaporation. However rum and raisin ice cream gave me the nearly instant hangover effect, and all evening I thought I may vomit. I thought it was only rum Flavouring not actual rum! DOHH if you’re laughing reading this, stop that! Meanies. Note to self, just one more nice thing added to the list I can’t eat or drink.
