This time last week Freya and I went walkies for charity.
Its team honk time… If you found this page via a flyer #TeamHonkGlos gave you, thank you for dropping by! Donating is easy, go to bit.ly/HonkGlos (yup, those capital letters are needed) and fill in the form. Maybe shake your handbag out and pledge whatever loose coins you have? It all adds up, and we don’t care if its not a round number. You can write in your own amount, whether it is £1.42 or £5 team honk will be most grateful. #TeamHonkGlos kicks off on Tuesday. That’s really not long and we are well under our fundraising target at the moment. Can you spare a pound or two please? Or maybe you could social media share our sponsorship link? Or simply share or reblog this post? On Tuesday, at roughly noon I’ll be met by Team Honk Bristol, on bikes I am told. They will be worn out, poor […]
If you don’t #TeamHonk are Alexander Residence, Mammasaurus and Mummy Barrow. Last year they went to Ghana and were quite frankly awesome. That was for Comic Relief, but this slightly daft brilliant Lands to John O’Groats blogger relay walk/skip/dance/run thingamybob is for Sport Relief. The relay started in Cornwall a few days ago, and has already raised a lot of money, seen funny dress up outs and outrageousness a plenty, but I get involved in February. Some photos from the bloggers who have already done their “leg” of the relay can be found on the team honk photo page, and the master plan of the massive route is also on team honks site, and it is a little epic. What am I upto you ask? Well it’s Sport relief, but I just think of comic relief so need to look a bit silly … So I am walking from Gloucester city center towards […]
Penny, Tanya and Annie are in Ghana with Jonathan Ross and Davina McCall for comic relief. It’s the 25th anniversary this year and they are doing lots to promote it. I can remember 1988 when it started, I was rather small and the red noses were just plain, no hair or faces, or even sticky out tounges. For some reason in that first year the noses smelt like cheap washing up liquid, and they really pinched your nose. Its come along way and #TeamHonk are out there, in Ghana, to show what really happens with red nose money not just the daft things that earnt the money like when my teachers bathed in baked beans, and shaved one side of his beard, moustache and hair, then made worse by having the remaining hair dyed red! Some of the stunts I remember from school were worth giving my pocket money for, […]
These three lovely ladies are off to Ghana to check out the work Comic Relief have been doing. It’s comic reliefs 25th birthday this year so good timing for a blogger party. I’m supporting them, and I’ve asked for a digital post card. This means whilst the lovely team honk are over there in Ghana they will take lots of photos for other bloggers to share, to help this get spread to more readers. Team honk are @mummybarrow @aresidence and @mammasaurusblog from twitter. If you haven’t a clue what I’m on about go to teamhonk.org and have a read… And then go and buy a Red Nose if you like. Personaly I struggle to watch charity adverts, and am much less able to watch an epic show like comic relief or children in need. I just cry and feel guilty, unlikely Team Honk. Seriously good on them for getting on […]
