This evening we had a family film night thanks to Gracewell* Healthcare. The four of us on the sofa, with the fire on, watching Paddington. Although most parents I know have seen Paddington I hadn’t. There were a few belly laughs, and we were almost crying from laughing so hard at some points. I was pleasantly surprised as I was expecting the boys to like it whilst us grown ups would be bored stiff. NOPE!
Over on Tots100 they are hosting a blogging competition with Bathshop321 with the chance to win a new bathroom. Count me in! I’ve had a look over on the website and this is the suite I like… Picture from Bathshop321 We haven’t had much luck with bathrooms, remember the disaster of a bathroom I blogged photos of recently? We had a decent quality bathroom and paid for quality fixtures, and for it to be installed by their men, approximately £5000 and it wasn’t even done right! A fresh start would be awesome, rip out anything that reminds me of the local cowboys. We could keep the wall covering and the ceiling light, and my little mirrored bathroom cabinet, but everything else could go. Ok, maybe I would keep the shower as it is already installed in to the wall, but everything else needs to go! I would like everything removed, […]
When I was a kid, TVs were very basic, a few buttons or tuning knobs. It was on-off, channel and volume. No record, save, rewind, pause, I understood the new bits like rewind and fast forwards when they first came in, and it was great. I think now though it has got to a point where TVs are a bit too flipping SMART! It’s like the TV is secretly laughing at me, as I am one of the many parents who get their children to do the set up bits on the goggle box. I’m no technophobe (obviously as I’ve got this blog) but the TV baffles me. So many menus and buttons, and functions I do not understand. In fact the little wall mounted LED TV I bought my partner for Christmas is worse, it has all kinds of functions I can not use, it is almost a pc, […]
A month ago I landed back in Blighty after going to the land down under. Well I think I will honestly struggle to get across how much I loved it, and how I truly miss the place after such a fleeting visit. I soooooooo want to go back, I wish I could. On 4th November I took off from Heathrow, after a minor strop about Qantas seating plans…. my second holiday via plane, and they’d put me alone… away from my friend. Cue me, stamping, crying and talking to myself. I’m not a brat, but was stressful having the ITV DayBreak cameras there, emotions were getting out of hand. Qantas had little choice, I was stood ON my seat until a reshuffle took place. :-/ my Mate Jacki stayed calm, fair play to her, I know I’m annoying! It was hours and hours of flying.. we arrived in Sydney late […]
Hello readers, I don’t know about you but I’m so bored of hearing the words “Royal Wedding” all the time. Surely something else must have happened in the last fortnight??? Its all bank holidays and bunting. Am I the only one bored to tears? I’m just “going along” with other people as its easier than arguing with them, but I do think its a lot of money and hype. And all those tatty royal wedding tea towels and mugs! Nothing against either of them, but just the hype. When will the hype drop off?
