Christmas geek gift guide 3

So your partner is a bit of a geek, and you’re struggling for ideas? Hopefully this might help.

Blokey is a geek, there is no better way to describe him. I like cute and fluffy, he likes sci-fi and computery.

So here are some gift ideas.

RavPower phone back up charger.*
I can’t afford new iPads or tablets but I can suggest getting a RavPower 6000* charger. It is a cool looking rechargeable battery that can power mobile phones, tablets and Apple items. I was kindly sent two of these to test out, and I have had the pink one in my handbag most days and has come in very handy on days out when I have killed my phone battery by photographing everything.

Geeky USB cufflinks. I found these on eBay and they vary in price by seller, generally speaking the slowest delivery imports coming from the dark side of the moon seem to be the best price. If you want those for Christmas buy from a British seller. Does your geek work with computers? Does he lose his memory stick all the time? These are fashion geekery right here.

A Typography of Love print.*
This bad boy is £39.99 from ToxicFox* and it is great. It is personal and printed with words you choose, so you can be naughty or nice!

Retro stationery.
I have had these hidden a couple of months now, bought in a sale for about £2.50.

Hip flask “Darlek”.
Use your initiative, find a non-branded gift that reminds you of something. I know Blokey wanted a bigger hip flask for taking to rugby matches and I know he is a walking encyclopaedia of Doctor Who facts and theories.

Gift experiences.
These can be hit and miss but I strongly suggest hitting Groupon. Today I found a hot air balloon flight under £100 or rally driving at Silverstone for £55.

Robotic pets.
Not Teksta, he’s just a toy. Proper robots like Pleo and Aibo. These will set you back a large chunk of your salary, but oh it is just sub zero cool. Aibo is around £1500!
