In this house none of us like football, so things like the football world cup are not fun to us. So many people suddenly wearing just their countries team colours. So many “did you see that goal” comments the day after a big game. I am sorry footie fans, I just don’t get what is fun about it. To be honest I’d much rather be in warmer place, somewhere where I don’t speak the lingo. Somewhere I miss the “did you see the game last night? Shocking performance wasn’t it?” from the locals as I won’t have a clue what they are saying. Somewhere I’ve never been. Somewhere with good food and ice cream. ITALY.
Hello readers, This competition has ended, and the winner is announced below. Today I’m offering you a chance to win. I know it’s not December yet, but I’m trying to get some presents sorted early. I was offered the chance to have a set of these cufflinks from RING to review but instead I am offering them to you, my readers. They are worth around £30 and would be a lovely gift for a male relative. Perhaps add a photo of the family, or of their pet, maybe their initials? You can have them made in gold or silver coloured metal, I prefer the silver colour myself. Classic, yet contemporary and goes with almost any colour, whereas the gold tones can clash with some fabrics. They are proud of the celeb feedback they’ve received, a couple are footballers, not that I “do” football. It’s still all about the Rugby and […]
First thing, this is NOT a sponsored post. I am just impressed by them, their service, the cars and mostly the staff. The manager of Young Driver in Bristol, a man called Mark, did something very kind today. Something not in his job description! Rescuing teddy rabbit from a bus stop roof.
Today it was sunny outside! *faints* So after lunch we went to the park. By the time the boys stopped debating whether they were going to the park, or just planning on arguing with each other all afternoon, the sun had faded off a little and the wind had picked back up. Chilly, but I was determined they weren’t going to play computer games all day! We went out with a blue football and the parcel I needed to post to the Brolly sheet competition winner. The post office is by the park so it made sense really to do both. When we were in the post office the boys asked for a drink so we got some cartons and drank them as we walked. When I got to the park I was a bit shocked, it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. We couldn’t use the swings or […]
After deciding I was playing strict with the boys recently, I found out about a lovely reward chart site, called Personalised Reward Charts. There were a few different background designs but I went with the Pirate one, and had a photo of both boys put on it. It’s well laminated and came with a dry wipe pen and some star stickers. You can have the days of the week pre printed on it too, but I preferred not to then we can start mid week if we like. The charts are a very reasonable £3, and mine arrived in just a few days. There are lots of designs, football, cartoon dinosaurs, the pirates one we chose and girlie ones such as butterflies and princesses.I wrote down the tasks I’m hoping he does more often, and as the bribery I have offered him a Lightening McQueen model car he really wants. The […]
In October when I got “help” from doctors for suicidal depression I also got more than I bargained for. I got social worker involvement as the referring doctor, then lady I broke down in tears to, suggested I could be a danger to D. I was honest, way too honest. I explained how I thought he was evil, how he was a factor in the depression and breakdown and how I can’t cope with him. She then sneakily asked about Jen, I describe him as my teddy bear. My little friend, the person who hugs me and loves me. A smart mess…. Until I read my support workers report I thought they’d sent in social workers to help me, and the doctor wanted to help, seems was not actually a positive referral. Bugger. Note to self, shut up in front of people who can change things. Anyway so after reading […]
