#WinningWeekends (23 May) 8

Welcome to the #WinningWeekends blog competition linky. Same as usual, pop your lovely links in the boxes below. For example put “30/6 Win a bunch of roses – MyBlogName” in the box marked NAME if you’re running a comp to give away a dozen lovely roses and the competition ends on 30th June. I don’t know about you, but I like to have a clue what I am clicking up front, and the closing date is just super helpful as I know some competition hunters look at posts from the last few weeks as well as the most recent post. #WinningWeekends means that bloggers can quickly link up their posts, and maybe grab a badge to show support, and compers can find a few nice competitions they might have missed. Even if you aren’t a “comper” you might just fancy a quick flutter on a few competitions if you are feeling lucky. Also if […]

Introducing Stuffster – A Smart Shopping Tool – Review 3

Yesterday I found out about a site called Stuffster.com from a twitter buddy, I thought to myself “That’s an odd name” and then looked into what the site was about. I headed first to the Twitter Stuffster page, and then had a peek about the main website. Stuffster in a pictorial nutshell.. Its a shopping tool, a bit like a funky hybrid of an auction sites watch list system and a comparison site and an Internet wish-list. You add products, from almost any site to your Stufflists, and set a desired price. So lets say you want something in particular, a certain brand of shoes and you know the style, You pop to your favourite sites as normal (after registering on Stuffster that is, I’ll talk you through that shortly) and look for these shoes in your size then click “+STUFF” button on your browsers links bar et voila, […]

Helping Charity for a few clicks?

After all the recent fuss about photos of sick kids on facebook I wanted to write something positive, to try to encourage sharing in a good way. If you have managed to avoid this new craze of pimping out photos for as many “Likes and shares” as they can get, then consider yourself lucky. I’m all for helping ill children, and there are lovely sites out there like Post Pals, where you write a letter or send a present to a child via a lovely team of people, so the child’s home address never gets made public. Or you could have a look around on Just Giving for people doing sponsored things to raise money for charities. Or you could even start an event, do a sponsored walk, sitting in a bath of baked beans, or having your hair shaved / dyed ludicrous colours in the hopes of getting charity funds. Or […]
