A while back Pop goes your name sent little Jen a CD, not just any CD though, it has his name in the songs. Unlike much music aimed at children it is not offensive to grown up ears. It has 12 songs, an un-personalised intro track, then 11 personalised songs. The music is decent, it is not the usual ultra cheesy toddler pop. It is sung by real people with real instruments, not just digital nonsense. My little guys name was sung by the same person that sang the rest of each song – I was half expecting the name to stand out, or worse to be in a totally different voice to the rest of the song. Thankfully it does not sound like an answer machine or Phoebe from friends. You can check out some sample tracks by Pop goes your name on their soundcloud. It is a little gift I would recommend to his friend’s […]
Once a month Parragon books send my boys or me a book or something bookish (like Life Canvas stationary) to have a little look at. Sadly it is a struggle to get my boys to read anything at the moment, which is why I am doing a roundup style post. View image | gettyimages.com Books can make great presents, especially if you aren’t really sure what to buy. My personal favourite of these is the glider kit, it is so retro looking and would be a great gift for a school buddy or a young relative. Inside, you’ll find a step-by-step book and everything you need to build a stunt glider with an incredible 60cm wingspan! […]
Today I got a lovely bit of mail from PicStick I just could not wait to open. You choose 9 photos and they post them to you as a sheet that is precut into 9 rectangles but just about in one piece to post. I take so many photographs but in this digital age never remember to print them.
This is very very very overdue. These chocolates arrived for me before Italy, before the #MMskydive, before camping in Devon. During the summer I’ve been a bad blogger, I have missed so many reviews and posts I was meant to be writing. I was sent 3 different products to try raspberry panacotta, fruit and nut slab, and nuts about coconut selection. It will come as no surprise to friends that I like chocolate, I like almost all chocolate, but even I appreciate the difference when you have high quality chocolate such as Hotel Chocolat. It’s the mutts nuts of confectionary, the Rolls Royce of sweets, and NO I will not share mine. Seriously, those raspberry panacotta ones are so good, they are moreish to the point they could be seen as addictive. I attempted to save one for Blokey, but I couldn’t, it just accidentally got munched. If you fancy […]
