Custard!

A Whole Week Of Driving 5

I passed my test on Wednesday, that means I’ve been driving properly for a week. Yay! Today I had to see Doctor Dave in town. Today it was cold…. So today was a few firsts for me. The first time I’ve defrosted a car. The first time I’ve driven on icy roads. The first time I’ve parked in a Multi-Storey car park alone. First time I’ve had to pay a parking attendant. Sadly it was also the first time I’ve had a driver ranting and swearing and waving their hands at me. It was a hideously impatient lady…. I was between her and a double decker bus, I was following the bus. It indicated to park briefly for a passenger to get on. I lent to my right to have a look but I couldn’t see far enough around the bus to be sure was clear to overtake and there […]

Wagg Dog Training Treats 4

I asked other bloggers recently if they knew of pet companies that work with bloggers. So Lisa suggested I get in touch with Wagg. I already use their Bunny Brunch food for my rabbits so was confident whatever they posted to Freya would be tasty. It took me a while to get round to giving these training treats to her. The Dogs Trust staff had advised us do not keep swapping treats… Stick to one type, then swap when you’ve run out of the first ones. That way if something upsets your woofs tummy you know which new food or treat is to blame. That is great advice whatever pet you have. Today I had a doctors appointment so had to go out for an hour, she chewed her toys and blanket up again, crying and stressed. So today was a good day for treats. Super cute little bone treats….

Banks got me annoyed

Why are telephone and internet banking “security” questions so awkward that even I can’t access my own account. It’s frustrating as I know why I’ve failed security, I was asked the values of a few recent transactions on my account. One of them I knew was Lloyds chemists, it was the prescription charge for anti depressants. I said I have no idea what the NHS charge is, 7.50 ish. I had to Google it, surely the man on phone could accept “NHS prescription fee” as the answer, but no. I explain I’m disleksyc and numbers don’t stick, but surely knowing exactly what I bought, when these items have a set price, that should be good enough. If anything shows I know my account that I knew the location of the transaction and the time of it! The reason I’m trying so hard to contact my bank is we are trying […]
