As I mentioned I’ve been working with Thinking Slimmer recently, and listening regularly to podcasts known as SlimPods.
I know, I know, that sounds a bit dippy hippy but I reckon it’s been working. I am rubbish at diets and health plans and routines in general actually. This is a lazier way to lose weight, trying to retrain your brain to eat better. It’s the kind of thing I wouldn’t have thought would work, and wouldn’t have paid to do but since I’ve been doing it I think it is worth paying for. But as my boys would yell in a game of tag “Bagsy you’re it, No returns” – Sorry Sandra!
The main SlimPod I’ve been listening to is called Drop two dress sizes. My Weight was 15 stone 12 pounds back in mid January and by the time I joined Thinking Slimmer in March I had managed to get down to 15 stone 10 but this was on calorie counting weight jumped up and down like mad – Seriously in one week in January I gained EIGHT POUNDS, not ounces, whole flippin’ pounds I mean, how is that even possible!
Right now I’m loitering around 15 stone, I’ve gone up since last week but am confident it is going down more than up these days and I can handle that. Despite the weight not looking like an exceptional loss, I HAVE shrunk a clothes size. you see I went clothes shopping the other day and tried on my usual size 18 and they were too big. Yeah! As I type I am wearing a size 16 strapless dress, and to be honest I’m going to have to sew it a bit smaller as its loose at the top. The scales might not be my best friend but finally having the 18’s be too big and the 16’s fit… that is progress right there. I tried on a whole armful of clothes, some 16, 18 and even a 20 but I can wholeheartedly say I’m not huge anymore. That one size means a lot more choice of clothing and its also a step in the right direction health wise.
I need to be 15 stone or under in July for my charity skydive, its their rules but I can tell you I won’t care what the scales say afterwards. I would utterly love to be a size 14, size 12 might be a bit far for me personally though.
So what do you think? Do you want to give it a go? The “drop two dress sizes” SlimPod is £29.99 or you can try to win it for free here. I can’t guarantee it will work for you, but most of the bloggers trying SlimPod are noticing improvements in their bodyshape, clothing sizes and weight. Several of us will have a SlimPod competition up this week, so keep your eyes peeled. Psst…. check here for a list of the other competitions.
