TravelBug competition

Good afternoon folks, My son has entered the Content and Calm travel bug competition on facebook to try to win us a holiday to Greece, sadly it is a voting competition and he would love any votes please. If you go into that app then look at “gallery” you should be able to find our entry. The competition is to be a “travel bug reporter” which means if he gets first place we will go to Greece together for him to review, or if he’s one of the 9 runners up we would get sent on a family outing to somewhere like Legoland or Cattle Country. We sat outdoors and talked about our camping holidays, as shivering outside seems appropriate for a camping review! Sadly the promoter extended the voting closing date until September which is really a very long time, so I thought I would share it on my […]

Ladies night for Ayllah-Beau

Last week I blogged about signing Ayllah-Beau’s petition, to try to get the gloucestershire hospitals PCT to treat her illness fairly. She needs an operation, without the operation she is going to be fed mechanically for the rest of her life, 18 hours every day. Its being held at The Seasons Wedding & Conference Venue, Swindon Village, Cheltenham GL51 9RX” Hurry if you are local and want to attend, its only a fortnight away. Details of how […]

Excited and nervously waiting….

I got a phonecall yesterday from ITV. That’s right compers, a biggie! The comp the call was about is “Daybreak Down Under“. I can’t even remember what I wrote in the “why should we pick you to win” bit on the form although I remember writing it, then deleting it and rewriting a few times! Picture Credit – From ITV.com website The ITV chap wanted to confirm I entered myself, wanted to go and was eligible (age, valid passports and so on). I am *shortlisted* rather than won it, yet. Fingers crossed bloggers!! I didn’t think to ask yesterday when on the phone how many were shortlisted… I so should have. Curiousity got the better of me, so went looking online on my phone at lunch time at work today. Shortlist is only 75 but there are 50 prizes. So two thirds of us shortlisters will go to Aussie. The […]
