This weekend I went to a Christmas market but my favourite snaps were not of Crimbo things. I don’t know about you but I think these look like picture postcard photos. Very pleased that I took these. Anyhow, what did you get up to this weekend?
There is a support group local to me called Charlie’s that I’ve just recently found out about. It is a local group not a big national charity, so they don’t get much media coverage or publicity. What they do is brilliant, it is a support group for anyone effected by cancer. You don’t have to be in treatment, you could have had the all clear for years or be close family of someone with cancer. You might have noticed I’ve put their logo on my sidebar and wondered what they are all about.
A little while back we were chosen as winners in Tots100’s Al Fresco Holidays competition. I could hardly believe it. First things first I had a little cry, and a panic about flying, then I went begging my children’s head teachers to let them have a week off. As Jen is at Infants and D is at a Grammar school this meant two lots of grovelling, of course officially they aren’t allowed to authorise time off anymore but I asked anyway and got the secret nod of approval. It was all rather a rush, from getting a tweet from Sally to travelling to the airport was just a few days. I wasn’t sure what to pack, and what we would need to take so I might have asked Sally some rather daft questions on the telephone. (Sorry again for that!) For no real reason, here are some photos I took in London. I was born in London, and I miss it.
I noticed these beautiful poppies in Ilfracombe Devon. I had to photo them, beautiful and special.
After the River Dart fuss and mass eviction we managed to find somewhere. We are now many miles away in Europa Park at Woolacombe bay. We are on the side of a steep hill but the camping areas have been levelled off. This place has a dog friendly bar restaurant, showers and all the basics plus a swimming pool with a sauna. It even has its own petrol station and Spar shop.
Today we have had to pack up camp and leave. There has been an outbreak of “Noro type virus” and campers with dodgy tummies. Last night park staff came round telling each tent/caravan to leave by 11am. BBC news.

It seems the posts where I share local street art are popular, so here is a large bit of street art by “TRIX”. Although I have no idea who they are, I see this name on art about town. I have photographed this to remember it, in case it get removed. I adore graffiti work like this, it must have taken so many hours, and I can tell you it took weeks and months to appear there.
I’ve captured more artwork in case it gets painted over. I suspect this is to do with Syria.
