Today I have a brilliantly written post from Adventures of Adam. It is all about HG or Hyperemesis Gravidarum, I am happy to report I never had this with my sons pregnancies, although I did have bad morning sickness both times. If you are suffering from HG then pop over to the blog for a bit of understanding and some great activities you can do with kids without feeling worse. I received an email from a local charity which I am sharing with you all today. The following is written by Liam at Winston’s wish. They are a specialist support charity for children that have lost one or both parents. With Father’s Day approaching this weekend, Winston’s Wish knows that for children and young people coping with life after the death of their father, this time of year can be particularly poignant. Every now and then I get asked to share something and I think why not. This was one of those email conversations. I am pleased to say I don’t have epilepsy, nor do my family. But I know it’s a very common condition and have worked with people with the condition. I know so little about it,  so I’ll hand you over to John from Young Epilepsy for a guest post…  Did you know that epilepsy affects 112,000 children and young people aged 25 and under in the UK? Put very simply, at every secondary school there will be five children on the register that have been diagnosed with the condition (the figure for primary schools is an average of one child per school).

Katy has been a good virtual pal to me over the last few months, and she’s great. Here is what Katy says…. In 2010, I was diagnosed with schizophrenia after suffering from strange experiences for over three years. It was an earth shattering diagnosis, and despite having ‘company’ from my voices, it was the loneliest time of my life. When I started recovering from the symptoms a year after diagnosis, I wanted to do something to help others. I didn’t have a clue what I could do, but after finding inspiration in a memoir about schizophrenia, I started my own blog, joined Twitter and then did the biggest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
