This weekend I went to a Christmas market but my favourite snaps were not of Crimbo things. I don’t know about you but I think these look like picture postcard photos. Very pleased that I took these. Anyhow, what did you get up to this weekend?
Winter is most definitely here now, so dark and cold. The panic stage has set in after a few weeks of denial that Christmas is coming. I really must try harder to win my family the nice gifts I haven’t got the budget for. The wishlists just from Jen and D were massive. I never buy everything they ask for but if I manage to win one of the really expensive presents they are hoping for I’ll wrap it From Santa and pretend I haven’t a clue where it came from. You would have had to have been asleep and hiding under a rock not to know it was Halloween on Friday. This means I’ve got some nice photos. We went to a local fun day. As you can probably tell Jen enjoyed it more than D.
Today was a really warm day – 22°c. It is not what you expect on Halloween really, I am used to freezing my behind off trick or treating. Today was lovely though. There was a Halloween themed family fun day up the hill so I took the boys and the woofer out for a drive. We had a go at some crafts first. The boys made badges and carved pumpkins. The boys had fun with the pumpkins, but made me do the gross bit of hollowing out the stringy bits and seeds. It feels so slimey and nasty.
We’ve got two nights childfree. Although I love my boys I love being able to get rid of them now and then. So what do you reckon I found Blokey doing when I woke up? Making brunch maybe? Nope. Baking cakes? Also a nope. He’s making Benny’s Spaceship Lego. Of course. Linking to #MySundayPhoto.

I hate to say it, but Christmas is on the way. To me that means trying to win presents! Being on a lower income is a bit depressing when my lads are writing Christmas lists, but they’ve written them early so I know what I want to win at least. For D it’s mainly Lego Technics, and Jen mostly wants HotWheels. Obviously if I haven’t won these things by December I will buy them, using my best bargain hunting skills, but winning them would be much better! Jen cycled to school, I chose lanes and alleys not the main road just in case. Sadly this was the same morning as a fatal hit and run on a cyclist near our home, so I felt a tad nervous. But my baby did great. I couldn’t get a better photo as he kept speeding off ahead. He did wait nicely at the end of this lane on the pavement, waiting to safely cross the busy road with me. This made me feel old, but happy. My baby is actually a big boy. Linking to #MySundayPhoto at OD3G.
