Off On Our Hols 1

I am typing from the M5 – no one panic, I am not the driver! We are off camping for a fortnight, and when we go camping it’s more like “glamping”. We have our new Vango Airbeam With extension porch, and a “footprint” and carpets. This is not just a tent, it is bigger than our garden. We do not have a big garden, but still! Best bits are it has inflatable tubes instead of fiddly fibre glass rods. The main structure is up in minutes as it has a powerful pump. It takes longer to peg in the guide ropes than put the tent up. Last big camp we still had our Vango Sungari, which although it was a lovely tent for a family it was a nightmare to put put. It resulted in arguments every single time we set up camp. We decided last time that enough was […]

Big fun with little trains for half term.

The National Railway Museum is hosting nine days of Big Fun with Little Trains this February half term (not all counties have half term next week, here in Gloucestershire it’s half term this week). Just a few of my boys toy trains…. From 16- 24th February, the National Railway Museum is having a celebration of toys and model trains. Children of all ages (including the grown up kind) will be enthralled by the range of little locos from children’s pedal trains, to rides on indoor and outdoor miniature railways* that the whole family can enjoy. My boys both loved the outdoor trains when they were smaller. Children will be able to get hands-on in the museum play areas and enjoy rides of all shapes and sizes. Meccano and Lego workshops and the G-Wizz garden railway will add to the fun. Family friendly model layouts will be on display and visitors […]

Went out last night….

For the first time since December (Hubby work xmas party) i went out.Was somewhat amusing as was a group of us, mainly women and we were in fancy dress. I was a ladybug. 😛 I didn’t think i looked good…. But apparently im gorgeous and i can confirm men like pig tails. I got given a guys phone number, not that i wanted it or will phone it but so nice to feel attractive. Was out mainly with co workers as my neighbour who happens to be my neighbour, invited us out for a birthday night out. Was her birthday a few days ago. As readers will probably know, i can’t have alcohol, but the other girls made up for my not drinking! This led to a few interesting conversations, and dare i say it, my opinions of people have changed. The quiet girl is dead naughty and the one […]
