This evening I’ve been making heart decorations similar to the ones I learnt how to make at the Shloer blogger “crafternoon tea” event with The Makery. Clearly I’ve been inspired! I wanted cheap fabric so I chose two 3 packs of tea towels, one set in green one in red. Festive of course. These were from a pound shop, so was the 5 pack of glittery silver ribbon, and the packet of bells. The coloured ribbons and buttons came from my local market at a marvelous £1.50. The stuffing is free, it’s a lumpy unusable pillow (washed and dried in advance) chopped open.

I was asked if I’d like to take part in Alex and Alexa #SpookyFruit competition as pumpkins totally hog the limelight in October, and the rest of the fresh fruit and veggies are feeling left out! As we saw there were Lego storage heads in the first prize we had to join in. A cutely, creepy knitted toy from Lucky Boy Sunday Two Halloween kids’ costumes from Lucy Locket Two fabulous Lego storage heads for Halloween candy A selection of beautiful Halloween party supplies for kids from Meri Meri A set of cute Halloween figurines by wooden toy suppliers Le Toy Van Second and third prizes you just lose some of the package above, so still not bad.

PLEASE NOTE, cubby kit have sadly gone out of business, but I am leaving it here as it was a lovely idea, and I love the photos. Recently the postman knocked with a rather large cardboard box, with pale blue printing on it to look like an old fashioned suitcase. He never gets things arrive addressed to him, so was a treat! Suitcase design on box (Jen had chicken pox in photos, sorry) The quality of the items in CubbyKits are really good, I was really impressed to find pencils and child scissors included…. often “complete” craft kits don’t have things like glue or child sized scissors, assuming every parent already has those, well I didn’t! So thanks muchly for those scissors, better than the ones his big brothers school use for sure. Some items in each kit could be kept after the CubbyKit is finished. Some of the Contents […]
