My Review of Zaggora Hot Pants

As some of the regular readers will have read, I want to shift some weight trying to get ready for that skydive! Have you heard of Zaggora hot pants? These hot pants are a brilliant idea, and Zaggora sell a range of other clothing to help you exercise better. The idea is it makes certain areas of your body hotter than normal, so if you are wearing them it means your bum and thighs do “more work” and waste more calories, so hopefully lose weight from the problem areas first. I’m sad to admit I do have a wobbly tummy, so I am giving Zaggora Medium HotPants 2.0 a good trial. I have been exercising indoors on my partners cross trainer, and my twice daily school pick up is via bicycle, and I try to wear my hot pants for that too. I can’t say I’ve lost any weight yet but I can […]

Vanish Powder Versus Tikka Stain 2

A little while ago bzzagent sent me some Vanish oxi-action to try out. I figure I should have posted photos ages ago, I’ve been using it on anything awkward before going in the washing machine or just bunging as scoop in the soap draw. I’ve found it not only shifts or helps lessen the appearance of visible stains, but fades smells lingering in fabrics better than washing powder does. For example towels I’ve used to dry the pets after a wash often smell horrid despite a wash. The staining. Fresh home made Tikka masala. This has ruined my boys clothing in the past. Rubbing in some Vanish and water paste. Amazing, no curry! Big thumbs up here. I recommend it for school uniforms. I’m a bzzagent, this means I’m part of a product testing panel. I wasn’t asked to post this blog, but I was given the product to try […]

Mothers Day outfit at Next 4

Well I’ve today seen a challenging competition on Jade & Tara’s blog that I had to have a go at entering. I’ve not had the best relationship with my Mother, but I am trying to be her friend again, and I’m sure she’d be chuffed if I won Next clothing for her. The challenge is to make a complete outfit just from products for sale at Next. Here is what I’d suggest for my Mum on Mothers day. Images from Next website       I would pick a nice lace dress for my Mum, she suits maxi dresses best I think. Also this one goes into larger sizes and like me, my Mum isn’t tiny. It is black and creamy beige, She often wears either shockingly bright prints or plain neutral colours. I’m not going to pick out a print that makes me dizzy, that’s all I’m saying… Moving […]

Foxes, What Do You Think?

In the last few years Fox attacks are seemingly on the rise. Or at least the number of times the media get hold of these stories is on the rise. The recent BBC news story It seems that foxes are attacking unguarded babies and occasionally sleeping adults. There is a pattern to it from the stories I have read. It’s always in cities, the urban fox rather than the free range variety. It’s often a baby, and it doesn’t bite just anywhere… It goes for limbs. Hands, arms, feet. Not trying to be gross but its like it knows limbs are easier to remove and is that starving that its worth the risks of entering a house for “food”. With the adult attacks it’s similar – biting adults in their sleep. I’ve read about feet, fingers and ears being chewed at. You don’t tend to hear of attacks on say, the […]

The weekend away

A couple of months back I booked a Sun newspaper holiday. I had told partner we needed time away, I needed time off of work and being a parent. I felt I was losing my marbles a bit by then. Ironically I was just a bit too late, if I’d got time off a few weeks earlier maybe I’d be ok at the moment not on medication and feeling lost. This will be my first time alone with him for months, December I think and that was only one night. Since then, yes I’ve been on holiday to Cornwall camping but I got the slipped disk and was still with the kids. I love the boys, but a break is very much overdue. Tommorow will be my first time out in a busy public place without partner since the breakdown. I have to pick up both boys from school and […]
