In the last fortnight it has suddenly become very wintery and to be honest it’s begining to look a lot like Christmas. Busy people everywhere and fake snow. We’ve been Christmas shopping online mostly, but I have been visiting market stalls as much as possible looking for craft ideas for gifts. My current plan involves buttons and string and glue and glitter. I also have a rather nice Kirstie Alsopp soap making kit I am going to use, but I am going to add chopped up loafer or natural sponge in the soap to make it exfoliating and a touch quirky. Do you have any great homemade gifts you are working on?
Anyways, if you haven’t been over to #WinningWeekends before it is a competitions linky. A list of blog based, open to the UK, competitions. I started this linky as I like competitions and know bloggers can get lots of new followers from competitions. As I am both a blogger and a comper I totally love anything to do with competitions and it is great fun when you win something you want. If you are a blogger, share your competition urls here. If you are a comper just get entering and winning things. Please note, the linky widget confuses people because it says “NAME” please pretend that says “link name” or “post title”. If you can mention the prize and closing date in there it would be great.
I have been doing this linky for a year now, and I have decided to change it from weekly to fortnightly to make it easier.

Be lucky.

Oopps! My first time joining up and I put my name rather than the comp prize. Hey ho! Lovely blog!
Never tried making soap, but probably will help the kids to make some sweets. Thanks for hosting
Home made sweets are great though. Silicone ice cube trays are good for chocolate making.
I haven’t used this kind of linky tool for ages and so put my name instead of giveaway’s name 🙁 Oops 🙁
Thanks for this! What a great idea. Loving your blog!
Joining up for the first time – thanks for hosting!
