The chicks #MySundayPhoto 7

My hens aren’t best pleased with this heat. Tikka (the ginger one) is soaking wet as I gave her a hopepipe shower to clean and cool her off. Anneka (the dark brown one) had a little hose down, but I couldn’t catch up with Edwina (the grey and white striped one) to clean her. Linking up to the #MySundayPhoto  linky.

#WinningWeekends (11 Jul) 3

Welcome to the #WinningWeekends blog competition linky. Sorry for not posting a #WW last week. Same as usual, pop your lovely links in the boxes below. For example put “30/8 Win a book – MyBlogName” in the box marked NAME if you’re running a comp to give away a book and the competition ends on 30th August. I don’t know about you, but I like to have a clue what I am clicking up front, and the closing date is just super helpful as I know some competition hunters look at posts from the last few weeks as well as the most recent post. #WinningWeekends means that bloggers can quickly link up their posts, and maybe grab a badge to show support, and compers can find a few nice competitions they might have missed. Even if you aren’t a “comper” you might just fancy a quick flutter on a few […]

Hand made cards 9

This week I made Father’s day cards using photos printed from mobile phone and blank cards from Poundland. The scrap paper bits were from there too, so 4 cards cost me about £3.50 which I think isn’t bad. Have you done anything special for your Dad or Father in law?

How does your garden grow? 13

This week with the hot weather my garden is doing rather well. I finally, almost, have a lawn again. I’ve been sneaking out in the evenings and watering the trees and the mud lawn so it doesn’t die from the heat. I recently shared photos of my fruit trees, and hopefully you can see the size increase of the plums. The plums were about baked bean sized, now they are more like traditional sweet stall humbug sized.
