Almost Late for School 1

Today has been one of those bad days, things getting on my nerves, some bad news and money worries. On the way to school this morning it was dry as I walked out of the front door but chucking it down by the time I’d got my cycle from the garage. I pedal fast with Jen but the rain was right in our faces, and so was the wind. Then it stopped once I got him inside the classroom! Typical eh?Then I came home and did some laundry. All seemed OK until I took the items out of the washer. Everything had brown powdery marks on them like someone had washed it in cocoa powder. I’ve no idea why this keeps happening every few washes recently. Then I tried to use the toaster, but it failed. Was plugged in and turned on, put the bread in and pushed button, nothing! […]

Fear, pain, insomnia and my leg

I’ll start with a super fast bit of history. My mother and Nan both have bad varicous viens, my grandfather had bad veins then got DVT following travelling the world. I have had purple and green veins rather visible and getting more visible and now painful over the last year or so. My left leg is very normal, but my right is the problematic one. The pain and aching increased around my first ever flights, to Florida in June last year. Then since Australia in November it hurts nearly constantly, and by now it is constant pain. Not fun! I’ve been saying to the doctors its not good, and declining steadily for a year now. I feel like a little old woman, I hobble and limp, particularly at night. I think this is due to walking about in the day. I’ve had enough now, and have another doctors appointment on […]

Australia

I’m blogging from a tattoo studio in Adelaide, south Australia….. those are words I never thought I’d write! I’m watching, well ok avoiding watching, my mate Jacki getting a tattoo of a sunshine on her neck. Yukky scarey for me as I’ve got a needle phobia, but she wants to. Today is Friday, the last week has been *mental*. So much travelling, and Yup, I’m still wobbling! Swaying almost. A few days back we were on kangaroo island. I cried so much! I was so utterly overwhelmed I was like a kid getting a bike at Christmas. Was so awesome! When it was barbie time we were sat on wooden picnic benches, in a little clearing surrounded by mahoosive trees. Was so pretty, and I was rather relaxed until I saw a spiders web by my knee! I calmly got up, and whispered to an Aussie guide to describe it, […]

What if.. 2

My friends got me thinking tonight, “what if” and other deep pondering. Not that this comes over well in what I write, I think at 100 miles an hour, but can only type at 5mph! What if I hadn’t met my OH? What if I’d chatted about whips and chains to a different guy or girl in Yates bar that day? I feel I’ve failed as a mummy if I’m honest….. I love them immensely but should I be a mother? I can’t cook, shite at house work, my toddler is clingy and my eldest is distant, aggressive and bullies me if we are alone. My “doctor” wants me to think back through my past and try to pin down when my fear of bleeding to death and phobia of needles (and anything medical that might end up with needles) started, he asked me for family photos from the age […]

Well that went ok!

I don’t know why I was worried, LS was lovely. Very nice, very normal! No complaints at all, she had a few suggestions though. Which is fine! So relieved. Also doctors wasn’t so bad, but we are struggling to work out the root of my phobia. Might take ages. But I’m not giving up. posted from Bloggeroid
