Making Up Memories 2

I recently won a £100 Groupon voucher, which I’m so grateful for. Thanks again to Luci at mother.wife.me blog. A few months back the school photographers came in to class and the pictures they took were awful. Jen was dressed all wonky, shirt hanging out and disinterest all over his face. D was cross eyed and bored.   This will be the only year my boys are at the same school as D is top year juniors and Jen started at infants this year.We were upset the photos were so poor. It was like having a memory stolen from us. We had been looking at professional photo studios, and partner said “the boys Will need a good haircut first?” so we were looking at a three figure sum to fix this. Then I saw this on my Groupon app: “Family Photoshoot With Two Children’s Haircuts, Canvas Print and Additional Prints […]

Meet Bart and Mr Moustache 3

My boys have been asking for a pet of their own. So let me introduce Mr Moustache, an albino lionhead lop, and Bart a very fluffy lionhead with diddy little ears and fake mascara on! Mr Moustache (or Mo) Bart Sharing lunch. Two little friends. Mr Moustache and his jingle ball. Seriously have you ever seen a rabbit with a moustache?? They are adorable. Mr Moustache is very chilled and quiet, but Bart bounces about rather a lot. Of course, more photos shall be added as they grow.

A Warm Day So Off To The Park We Go 3

Today it was sunny outside! *faints* So after lunch we went to the park. By the time the boys stopped debating whether they were going to the park, or just planning on arguing with each other all afternoon, the sun had faded off a little and the wind had picked back up. Chilly, but I was determined they weren’t going to play computer games all day! We went out with a blue football and the parcel I needed to post to the Brolly sheet competition winner. The post office is by the park so it made sense really to do both. When we were in the post office the boys asked for a drink so we got some cartons and drank them as we walked. When I got to the park I was a bit shocked, it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. We couldn’t use the swings or […]

Easter Games

My boys are larking around on the Kinect as it’s pretty chilly to play outside. This is their new game, Joy Ride. They have to steer by leaning, and waving arms around.  At least they are burning off the chocolate egg calories somehow. It’s funny to watch them though. Bruuuummm bruuummmmm!!!!

Overgrown and neglected 2

This is the path we use daily. Overgrown, unloved and used as a rubbish dump. I don’t understand why the people who technically own these garages don’t reclaim them. It’s such a waste of space. It could be so pretty with some love. If people see rubbish on the floor they add more rubbish. Sometimes it’s household bin bags, ripped open with nappies pouring out. I don’t understand why a parent would dump their child’s waste in a place they probably push his buggy through? It’s a mess right, no hope? This is the view if you look through the fence…I’m seriously tempted to wild plant this area, like I suggested on the “help our bees” post the other day. Does anyone have any unwanted bulbs? 😉

Review: Your Image 2 Canvas 3

I was very happy to be contacted and asked if I would review a photo on canvas company. Brilliant timing as I was considering buying some canvas prints of my boys as I haven’t printed anything for such a long time. The downside to digital media. When I checked out the YourImage2Canvas.co.uk website I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, not only were many of the canvases reduced but they also had a 3 for 2 offer on.This meant I got a Medium and 2 smaller canvases for under £50 which is amazing. The 3 for 2 finished on 15th of February I’m afraid. re is another cracking offer on their website though, I know a lot of my online friends like competitions too so have a peek here upload a favourite photo for a chance to win £150 of vouchers! I did enter myself whilst I was there with a […]

Snowballing Children 5

Just for the fun of it… Here was a snowball fight my lads had. No reason. They had walked home from school nicely with me and then when nearly home they got a touch feral. Ah well, it counts as exercise right? 😉

Please meet Custard! 4

OK, not a new pet for a change. My new car, my first car! I know I know…. I’m about ten years behind other people in taking this step. But I am finally going to get some freedom. This is big for me. Full shot of Custard…Pretty good on the inside too, and NO I didn’t let Jen drive 😛 She only has one proper scratch. Remarkable for a ten year old motor. Anyway I’m pleased with her. Now I just need a full driving license. 😀

Snowy Pet Photos 1

Well it’s snowing outside and it’s currently circling and swirling in the wind. This blizzard that’s predicted might actually happen. Sadly the boys school was one of just two primary schools that didn’t close. Just waiting for the “please pick children up early” text message now. It’s pretty likely as I noticed several teachers were missing. The boys were disappointed. Anyway, cute animals in the snow photos time! Frozen chickens and a chilly bunny. Cute bunny, he’s put himself in chicken run, he is actually free range today.

Tikka And Fajita Are Pushing Their Luck… 1

The chickens and the less than friendly bunny have had lots of time to get acquainted but only this week have they been allowed free range at the same time. Until now the bunny has been free in the evening and night times, and the chicks have been loose by daylight. They’ve been giving it a bit of attitude through the cage wire. It’s weird that now I’m letting them loose at the same time there have been no major fights and no blood shed whatsoever! If you knew Patch rabbit you would realise this is shocking. 😛 Ignoring the mess that my garden is in I think these photos are pretty cute. Patch rabbit is Letting the girls steal his food. Almost ignoring it. Awww the cute bunny is mellowing in his old age. He’s watching the chickens closely but resisted the urge to run and steal his food […]
