Sold As New On EBay 3

Updated, I got a refund now I’m being asked to leave positive feedback, hmmm, noooo! I need to show an eBay seller some pictures. Dear bgood****, here are some photos of the catapult. It is not new, or even like new. I wanted to give this to my son for a birthday gift. I would like a refund please. So much rust, too much to even paint over and look “new”. I wish to say sorry for my delayed photos. Also I’ve not been at home. It is not possible to send a photo via eBay messaging. So heres my plan b, photos on my blog.

Brit Mums Live – Loved It 32

This weekend I attended BritMums Live! at the Brewery in London. On Friday morning I took my boys to school then I went to the train station. D was going on a school trip to Cornwall, Jen was going to stay at his Nan’s this weekend and the blokey was already in Calgary, Canada working. I had been a single mother all week and almost coped, if you ignore the day Jen was an hour late to school, and that I was exhausted as I hate sleeping without my blokey, he makes me feel safe. I need him. Anyhow, the journey. I had managed to get on to the right bus, then the correct train from the correct platform. Sat my bum down, happy. I looked to twitter to waste some journey time. One of the first things I read? “Once in a lifetime flooding, Calgary is declared a national emergency Zone. People […]

Look….

Ok ok this isn’t really much to write a blog post about but look at this nice blog badge/logo. Thank you so much Kathleen!! Was so kind of you!

Weigh In, Oh Dear

As I had some issues with my home scales recently today I went in boots. The maximum weight for the skydive is 15 stone. I’m way too close to that limit. I must lose some weight, now it’s like a sponsored slim & the jump!

Warmer Weather Makes Things Better

Today the sun is shining, but it’s still rather windy unfortunately. The boys wanted a barbecue but the massive grey clouds have put us off this idea. So for dinner later it will be indoor barbecue. All the same food but under the grill, still tons of bread and ketchup. So far today I got up really late, nice hot shower and outside to hug bunnies. Little Mo has been bitten on his back by Bart, he has a bald patch and a scar. Poor chap, so he’s getting extra hugs and attention. Looks to be healing nicely I’m happy to report. Also cut the lawn and neighbours lawn. Fixed some fence panels in my garden using some nails, a hammer, and plenty of noise! The pets are fed and I had a kip on the sofa watching snooker. What are you lovely blog readers up to today?

Its Raining, Its Pouring 2

At last, some sensible April weather. It has warmed up to a temperature where I’m no longer shivering. All day it’s been reasonably warm with anything between drizzle to heavy downpours. Occasionally actual sunshine was seen, great stuff. As a gardener I appreciate the wet weather, my rain water butts were almost empty and the beds were just dusty. Of course I’ve been watering my new trees but within an hour or so the top soil was dry as here we have not had rain in weeks. Today I wanted to get outside in my garden and plant my bulbs, but of course, it turned from very faint infrequent drizzle into real rain at the time I was going to get growing. Tomorrow, tomorrow I will turn over the top soil and bury those 70-ish bulbs I bought in Wilkinsons the other day. I’m still planning on having a mini fruit […]

Stalking Awareness – I’ve Been Stalked 5

It’s not just celebrities that get stalked. I’ve been stalked myself. April the 18th is Stalking Awareness Day, and some people with experience on this subject will also be blogging, hopefully I will link to those from my blog shortly. I’ve gone in a bit early, we all know how forgetful I can be.   My Stalker Experience It was over a decade ago, when I lived in Cornwall a man started acting odd. He was a bus driver, I simply said “Hello” one evening on the bus home, it was a half an hour bus journey in silence otherwise. It was a journey I took regularly. The bus route to and from my place of employment, not a great job, just a fast food staff person. The same bus drivers drove on each route but in shifts, so I knew their faces and names from their badges, and they […]

Today is Better

Outside it might be cold wet and grey, but today I feel a bit better. At the moment the kids and I are watching Madagascar 3 on DVD from Lovefilm. It’s rather a daft film. Monkeys in costumes dressed as the king of Versailles! We’ve just had sarnies, chocolate, fruit and crisps. An indoor picnic if you will, me and my boys watching cartoons. 🙂

Snow has nearly gone 1

The snow is nearly all gone now, melted completely on paths and roads. Strangely it seems to have gotten colder rather than warmer. The boys say it’s not cold but it is! The thermometer on my phone agrees with me, not the children, that it is actually ruddy cold. A few nights this week I’ve slept with my jumper on in bed. Bbbrrr! I give up, I know it’s barely half past five but I think it’s pyjamas time. Please snow… Move along.
