Yesterday the kids were bored and moaning they didn’t want to go out. They’d gone a bit stir crazy in fact and all the overly aggressive “playing” was worrying me. It was one of them days. After another time-out moment Blokey and I told them to get coats, shoes and the woofs lead. We hadn’t had lunch yet, and Blokey and I just needed to get them out of the house. We popped to a certain popular drive through to grab lunch without leaving the woof.

I’ve spent the last few days syringe feeding Maggie but its over. I tried dear Maggie, I’m sorry you couldn’t pull through. I let Bart and Mo, her hutch buddies, see her and say bye. Bart sniffed at her then tried putting his nose to hers, I guess he was checking for breathing. Mo looked sad, hopped past her and turned round so he was facing the same way Maggie’s body was, and laid down with her. That broke the tears out. He took about 1 minute, maybe an effort to warm her up? Then sulked off to his bedroom. I pick her up in her tea towel shroud and kiss her head and stroke her a final time. Good night my Maggie, just as the sun sets, good night Maggie Moo.

As you might have heard on the news Englandshire is a bit damp and squishy. Rather than letting that stop our fun we used it to our advantage and I took Jen and Freya out puddle jumping. Jen didn’t want to go out, Freya was desperate for a wee but was refusing to go in the garden. Awkward! My solution “Jen I’ll let you get soaking and muddy if you let her exercise?” deal. He scampers off to find shoes, we both decided on wearing summery Crocs. It’s more sensible than it sounds… Crocs aren’t going to be damaged when submerged in puddles, and no socks to keep the cold muddy water on your skin. Yup we can totally blag wearing summer shoes in flooded fields and call it sensible. Shhhh stop disagreeing. 😉
My lad D loves Freya Woof. He loves it more when we can play without other dogs nearby. This kids park is unusual, dogs are allowed in on leads. These photos were taken just before Christmas but I forgot to blog them. In my opinion you can see a loving bond between Freya and D. I loves them both <3
Ok it’s Freya walking us really but it’s fun letting her off the lead. She is mad as a box of frogs. It’s tricky to photo her so I video’d instead. But first we had to wait for other dog walkers to leave the fields.
