Today I got a lovely bit of mail from PicStick I just could not wait to open. You choose 9 photos and they post them to you as a sheet that is precut into 9 rectangles but just about in one piece to post. I take so many photographs but in this digital age never remember to print them.
Freya Woof is a lucky little hound. She is one of the first Waggers in the country to try Wagg’s new dog food. It hits the shops from tomorrow. She loves Wagg food and treats but sometimes gets bored and fancies a change so we have been mixing her normal dry Wagg food with half a tin or carton of wet dog foods for a month or two. So what will Freya think of this new munch?
This is very very very overdue. These chocolates arrived for me before Italy, before the #MMskydive, before camping in Devon. During the summer I’ve been a bad blogger, I have missed so many reviews and posts I was meant to be writing. I was sent 3 different products to try raspberry panacotta, fruit and nut slab, and nuts about coconut selection. It will come as no surprise to friends that I like chocolate, I like almost all chocolate, but even I appreciate the difference when you have high quality chocolate such as Hotel Chocolat. It’s the mutts nuts of confectionary, the Rolls Royce of sweets, and NO I will not share mine. Seriously, those raspberry panacotta ones are so good, they are moreish to the point they could be seen as addictive. You might remember back in the summer I was invited to London to meet Panasonic? Yes? Good stuff, well as one of their “Brit Bloggers” I was sent a product to review, and it was a product I really wanted. It’s an epilator, but more than that because it is for use wet or dry and has different heads that change its use. It has a double headed epilator, and that has a “cap” you can put over to reduce the number of tweezers that can touch your body. There is a massive 48 tweezers if using it without that cap, so pop the cap on on the first try! It also has a narrower head meant for underarms and the bikini area, less ouchies in sensitive areas. I thought I would share an outfit of the day or OOTD post with you. Today I am wearing old items I like. My skirt is a New look item, as is the black ruffle top. My crop sleeved cardie is by Wallis. The eagle-eyed might also notice a Fitbit and a poppy brooch*.
My current favourite beauty products are the things I remembered to take camping with us. Brilliant mascara, bold lipstick and lovely lip gloss.
I was sent Sugru to review a while back, but I totally forgot to blog about it as I was raving about it on Instagram instead. Sugru is strange stuff, a sort of putty in bright colours that dries into a rubbery substance. Once dry (or cured as the instructions refer to it) Sugru is UV resistant, water proof, dishwasherable, not afraid of extremes of hot or cold from -50C to +180C apparently), and electrically insulating. Wow!
Pet Shop Bowl recently sent me a parcel for the fluffy residents of my home. For the little critters (Bart, Mo, and Patch the rabbits, and Harry the guinea pig.) Hay – All little herbivore rodents should have hay. My Patch is a strange old guy and prefers to eats paper and straw, he doesn’t like hay. But then we all know a child that will not eat green vegetables. Patch is jolly old though at 10 or 11 years old now, I wouldn’t recommend paper and straw as a diet, but it’s not stunted his life expectancy. When we bought Patch we were told his breed of bunnies live around 6 years, hmmmmmm.
Last week this parcel arrived, very clever I thought as it meant I could check that the products do smell like the sweets. Yup, indeed they do. These are Carex Fun Editions. As you probably have heard before, Carex products kill 99.9% of bacteria. I always have a little bottle of hand sanitizer gel in my hand bag or pocket when walking the dog (for obvious reasons) and I had just run out of a supermarket own brand that was in my handbag. Strangely my boys think this strawberry lace scented gel smells nasty, but they are wrong, I say its nice and of course as the Mother I win. The liquid soap is bubble gum scented and oh my word it is divine. It’s like jumping into the Inventing Room in Willy Wonka’s factory. A little while back I was contacted on behalf of House of Fraser about a picnic outfit post. Well I chose my boys some clothing by name it, which seem to be a relaxed trendy range. My lads don’t really do posh outfits, I wanted something they would wear by choice, not just if I insist they wear it. I was asked to choose up to £50 in clothing for the boys, so naturally I hit the sales section. I did the shopping so well in fact that it was exactly £50, I can’t link to them all though, as they are now sold out. For Jen I chose Navy blue trousers and a “soda” print t-shirt. For D it was also navy blue trousers, a “retro” grey print t-shirt, and a grey and blue hoodie. Sadly the hoodie doesn’t fit D, but he did like it.
Why is it my Jen hates brushing his teeth? He tries all kinds of excuses for why he shouldn’t and sadly his dentist wasn’t much help. When I said in his last appointment “Jen refuses to brush his teeth most days” she replied with “don’t worry these are still just the milk teeth” to me and later to Jen “your teeth are looking great, well done”. Not well done, they have big tartar lines along them. I was less than impressed. Luckily the folk at Oasis have been in touch and sent Jen some charts and stickers and sugar free lollipops as rewards.
I received this product a while back now, but was unsure what to write. The Ozeri Duo Ultra Salt and Pepper Grinder* looks brilliant on the kitchen table, and is a real space saver. The RRP is high at £29.99 but can be found on Amazon now at £9.95. If I was to pay a tenner for this it’s good, but for Thirty pounds I would have been very disappointed. It is a fabulous idea, yet it doesn’t quite seem to “work” somehow. The bottom of the grinder is the stand, but also the funnel for filling the mills. This means you can’t lose the base, so it gets put back on to the grinder, but then I have to remind my children to remove the base before use.
